Why

Because I want to serve people.

Because I've always wanted to live in a country where I hear Spanish every day.

Because I want to learn about square-foot gardening, microcredit and all sorts of developmentally wonderful kinds of things.

Because I need to learn how to shake my hips like Shakira.

But what really makes it a dream come true is that this lovely best friend of mine is going with me :)

The Beginning

This is where the journey begins.
This blog will really come alive when I get to El Salvador, but for right now, I'll document the process of getting there.

On my El Sal To Do list right now:

1. Write letters
   
2. Brainstorm fundraising ideas (bake sale? benefit concert? lemonade stand? etsy shop?)
3. Purchase International Student Identification Card.
   
4. Get pumped up!
